Created for Interstuhl, a manufacturer focused on holistic workspace solutions, this project translates an existing visual concept into motion. The animations were developed for a presentation at the Internationale Möbelmesse Köln 2024, extending the designed layouts into a time-based format. My role was to animate the provided designs, adding structure, pacing, and clarity through movement.

Mapping the process

The central piece is a large-scale animation that visualizes Interstuhl’s planning approach. The motion follows a map-like logic: panning across a surface, zooming into specific points, and pulling back to reveal the overall structure. A path grows over time, connecting different phases, intermediate steps, and decision points. Icons mark key moments along the way, while branching paths indicate that the process can adapt depending on the situation. The result is a system that feels structured, but not rigid.

Graphic sequences

A series of shorter animations focuses on key messages and core elements of the process. They highlight planning steps, fields of work, and central ideas, reduced to clear, concise visuals. Rather than explaining everything in detail, these sequences work as quick entry points that support the larger narrative.

Context

The animations were presented within Interstuhl’s exhibition at the Internationale Möbelmesse Köln 2024. Embedded in a larger spatial setup with multiple stations and a shared narrative, they were used as part of one of the presentation areas — helping to structure information and guide attention within the overall environment.
